How we approach:
Youth Programs.
What we do at MAYF is create programs and activities that Educate, Enrich and Enlighten. We want to use whatever resources and tools that we have to create a center whereby all of the Muslim youth feel comfortable and welcome. We want to cater to their needs and instill in them the necessary knowledge to benefit them in this world and the hereafter. These principles dictate the type of work and programs we do. We offer educational programs weekly such as Islamic Studies, Quran Memorization, Khateeb Training, After School Programs, and more. We offer enrichment programs such as Athletics, Camping, Field Trips, Tournaments, etc. Lastly, we offer programs to help Enlighten, to make an individual an active contributor rather than a participant, such being; Community Service, Big Brother / Big Sister, Outreach Missions, and Youth/Peer Counseling / Mentorship.
MAYF programs are designed to discourage vulnerable youth from engaging in criminal or wasteful activities by building support structures as well as a network of like-minded peers. MAYF hosts lectures and panel discussions involving Islamic clerics, community leaders and youth members. At such events, the youth are encouraged to share stories and experiences and to benefit from one another. Our range of important services and activities are listed below.
