Help us Relocate our Masjid.
Asalaamu Alaykum Brothers and Sisters. Unfortunately, we have been asked to vacate the building that our Masjid uses by the new owner. We are in urgent need of fundraising and ask that you please not only donate, but to spread this news to those whom you may know. Please read more about our plan to relocate and our current progress with this endeavor.
Immediate Need:
$600,000 Goal.
We are trying to relocate. Our goal is to raise $600,000 and we will be updating our progress right here on this website and our other fundraising platforms.
Our Situation:
Notice to Vacate.
To the right is the notice to vacate we received from our Landlord. We have attempted many times to negotiate a new lease or to find a better alternative. We are saddened to report that we have had no success, and that we must vacate the property by November 30th 2019.
What’s at Risk:
Programs:
Islamic Studies.
We have over 400+ students that will be loosing a place to learn Quran memorization, Islamic Studies and Proper Etiquette.
Sports.
We have over 700 participating youth that are loosing access to Seasonal Tournament that help them stay off the streets.
Community.
Our Masjid of over 150+ members will not have access to a Masjid they’ve called home for over a decade.
Our Plan:
To Purchase This Property.
We want to purchase the below located property for Al-Tawhid Islamic Center. The facility is located 1.5 Miles from our original location. This was one of the most important reasons for why we selected this facility. Families both live and work nearby, and their children attend nearby schools. It is situated perfectly for everyones needs. The facility is also large with over 31k sqft of space. More than enough for our community and programs.
